The Challenge
There are no systematic official records of violence against LGBT+ people in the region. Presentes documented cases with journalistic rigour, but needed a tool to organise the information, validate it before publishing and present it clearly to readers, organisations and the media.
Our Solution
We designed and developed a platform with a public map —filterable by type of violence, location and date— and an internal panel where the newsroom enters, reviews and publishes each case according to its validation status. We added a directory of support organisations. On the same codebase we also launched a special map for Mexico, with its own dataset.

Results & Impact
- 181 verified and published cases across 21 Argentine provinces, covering events from 2019 to 2025.
- Four categories that organise the evidence: attacks on people, murders, deaths from social travesticide and attacks on places.
- A directory of 26 organisations supporting LGBT+ people.
- The same codebase powered a special map for Mexico, without rebuilding the platform.
